A celebratory gathering of the London drumming community & a raw, honest exploration of how African and indigenous people heal from the effects of trauma. Swiry is an African History and Spirituality Educator, Content Creator, Mental Health Advocate, Microbiology and Biotechnology Graduate, and Fashion Designer who will be discussing the significance and importance of healing the mind, body, and spirit, particularly within the times that we are now living
A specialist panel will join us to answer questions from a live audience about healing our mental, physical, and spiritual health. Appearing on the day will be Maam Esi (Astrologer), Sis Barbara (MoneyMob & Why Dream Travel), Yashmal Amen (Ptah Council) and Griot Chinyere (Storyteller, Expedition Leader, Theatre Director, Artistic Director & Founder of Nne Agwu Village). Co-hosted by Funmilola & Lady Esi
The festival includes a fantastic line-up of drummers and dancers stretching from all necks of in and outside of London, including Kofi Leo, Asafo, Sangoma drummers and more TBC. You may hire a drum but those that bring their own drums will receive a discount on the price of their tickets.
A children’s drumming segment ( for ages 8 – 17)
DJ DS Jammers will be playing the best in Afro Beats, Soul, Rare Groove, Reggae, and more.
Vegan and vegetarian food and drinks will be on sale as well as a wide variety of arts, and crafts, books, health products, clothing, and spiritual supplies.
This is a live, face-to-face event and NOT an online one. We have lots of fun and surprises in store.
